The mission of Live a Sent Life is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through daily obedience—being a living witness in every place God sends you. Using a bi-vocational calling, our “Sent” missionaries weave mission into ordinary life by relying on their basketball profession to teach and train young people and adults, building trust through consistency, mentorship, and character. On the court, they develop skills, discipline, and teamwork while also reflecting Christ through encouragement, integrity, and hope. In the same way, they carry that witness beyond practice by meeting people in dailyroutines, listening to stories, and speaking the truth of Jesus with kindness. By serving in both word and action, they show that the Gospel is not limited to a moment or a location—it is lived out through relationships formed every day.
Living a Sent Life (LASL) encompasses the dynamic integration of a vocational aspiration and spiritual mission within one of the world’s most unique demographics. Those who feel called to put their “yes” on the table for this service commit to dual roles: thriving professionals within a marketplace mission and devoted missionaries for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
By leveraging the strategic economic positioning and multicultural backdrop of each LASL location, these marketplace missionaries seek to live out their Christian witness authentically, illustrating their faith through ethical business practices, community engagement, and relational evangelism. Their presence in the commercial sphere becomes the mission field—a platform for demonstrating the transformative power of the Gospel in day-to-day work life and interactions within this vibrant and diverse city.

By being incarnational, missionaries strive to be like Jesus, who “dwelt among us” (John 1-14) and was a carpenter for over twenty years. Training people to be transformed Christ-followers is at the heart of what we do as disciples.

God wants every believer to be a witness for Christ to those who do not know Him. But witnessing for Christ isn’t just a matter of speaking to others about Him—although that is part of it. We also witness for Christ by the way we live—andthis often makes a greater impact than our words. After all, we may tell someone that Jesus can change their life—but how do they know it’s true? They will know it’s true when they see it in our lives. They will realize that if Christ can change our lives, He can change theirs as well. Jesus said, ‘Let your light shine before men, that they may see your gooddeeds and praise your Father in heaven’ (Matthew 5:16).”
